Frequently asked questions.
Q: What is the Digital Dental Assistant (DDA) certification?
A: The DDA certification is awarded to graduates of our complete training pathway. It recognizes mastery in both traditional dental assisting skills and advanced digital workflows, including scanning, crown design, 3D printing, implant workflows, ortho, and more.
Q: Do I need prior dental experience to enroll in the 12-week program?
A: No! Our 12-week program is designed for beginners. We’ll teach you all the foundational clinical skills along with the digital tools used in modern dental practices.
Q: Can I take the continuing education (CE) courses without completing the 12-week program?
A: Yes, if you already have dental assisting experience and meet the prerequisites for that specific CE course. Our CE classes are designed for working dental professionals looking to expand into digital workflows.
Q: How are the courses structured?
A: The 12-week program combines online learning modules (Sun–Thu) with in-person lab days (primarily Fridays, occasional evenings). CE courses are shorter — two weeks of online modules plus two in-person lab sessions.
Q: Where are the in-person labs held?
A: All lab training is held at our state-of-the-art facility in Boulder, Colorado, equipped with the latest scanning, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing technology.
Q: What will I learn in the 12-week program?
A: You’ll graduate with the skills to assist in general and specialty dental procedures, take and manage digital scans, design and process restorations, manage lab cases, and integrate technology into patient care.
Q: How many students are in each class?
A: We keep our class sizes small — 10 students max — to ensure you receive personalized instruction and plenty of hands-on practice.
Q: Will I be ready to work right after graduation?
A: Yes. Our goal is for every DDA graduate to walk into a dental practice confident, capable, and immediately valuable to the team.
Q: How much do the programs cost?
A: The 12-week program is $6,000 per student. CE courses are $2,200 each. Payment plans are available.
